Thanksgiving is a special time for my family and I. Gathering around our table always brings fond memories that we cherish for years to come; giving us the feeling of community as we break bread with one another, and share in the traditions that truly make my house feel like home.
This recipe is one that I have made time and time again, making little tweaks along the way until it's just right. I hope you enjoy this at your table this holiday. This cranberry sauce has always been a favorite of ours, and now that I have it just where I like it, I want to share it with all of you. A sweeter version from the traditional tart cranberry sauce. A quick 15 minute recipe to compliment all your favorite turkey dishes or use as a warm topping on Brie or Goat cheese that will compliment every charcuterie board. 2 cup Cranberries (fresh or frozen) ¼ cup Cointreau orange liqueur (or brandy) ¼ cup honey ½ cup dark sweet cherries 1 Cinnamon stick A pinch of cloves Add the first 3 ingredients to a heavy bottom pan on low heat, stirring often. When cranberries have started to burst open, add the remaining items. Continue to cook for another five minutes, stirring often. Remove the cinnamon stick and set aside for 30 minutes or refrigerate for future use. Enjoy! Diane & Team
